Picture this: You walk into a bakery and can eat every. thing. EVERYTHING. If this kind of gluten free-dom is your dream, then you have to check out Erin McKenna’s Bakery. Not going to lie, I am a total fan girl. I’ve been to 2/3 of their locations, as well as shipped my sister a box packed full of baked goodness for her birthday (yes you can order online, are you convinced yet?).
Let me start off by saying that their chocolate chip cookies are THE BEST I’ve ever had. The best. You know how GF cookies are usually crumbly (and shitty). Not these, my friends. Definitely something to put on your gluten-free bucket list (am I the only one with one of those?).
The NYC location is small so don’t be surprised if you have to wait in line. I promise it’s worth it. Inside you will find a wide-variety of baked goods from donuts, to cupcakes, to cookies, to eclairs, to muffins and so much more. Tears of joy? I’m sure they’ve seen it before.
Everything at Erin McKenna’s Bakery is gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy-free, egg-free, vegan, refined sugar-free, soy-free, and kosher. The only ingredients left? Wholesome ingredients you can feel good about with a side of magic. Thank you Erin McKenna’s for letting us indulge.
I had no shame when picking out half a dozen donuts. I can’t remember the last time I got to do that. Man, was it soul refreshing! I chose two vanilla sprinkles, chocolate sprinkle, two cookie crunches, and a samoa (that I couldn’t stop screaming “oh my god this is amazing to my entire neighborhood after every bite).
One of my favorite parts about being a glutard is being able to share life-changing gluten-free places with others. So here, eat your heart out.
